'Hero' is an action-oriented flick. Debutant director G.V. has done an
impressive job. Story is new but lacks good narration.
Story:
Radha Krishna (Nitin) is the son of the Commissioner of Police Nagendra Naidu
(Nagababu), Sarala (Kovai Sarala) is his mother and pampers him a lot, she
wants him to become a movie star. The Home Minister of the State (Babumohan)
passes a G.O. that allows every honest individual to join the police force so
as to bring in more people into maintaining the law and order of the land.
Heroine Krishnaveni (Bhavana) and a bunch of people (Sravana Sandhya,
Brahmanandam, Satyam Rajesh, Tirupathi Prakash, Tarzan, Priyanka and others)
line up at the Police Academy headed by (Ramyakrishna). Here Radha Krishna
abd Krishnaveni fall in love, after a few romantic sequences and songs movie
takes a twist. Krishnaveni turns out to be naxalite. What happens net forms
the crux of the movie.
Performances:
Nitin has done a good job. He dances great. Excellent body language and looks
stylish. Bhavana is impressive, she looks cute. Nagababu as the Commissioner
of Police was perfect. Slips into the character perfectly. Kapil Khanna as
the professional killer from Dubai was apt. Kota Srinivasa Rao was his usual.
Bramhanandam, Ali and Satyam Rajesh provided the comedy track.
Music:
Music is by Mani sharma is good. Songs have good beats and are hummable. 'Ka
Kalavye', 'Yahoo Yahoo' are the pic of the lot.
Choreography is good, Songs picturization is impressive.
Verdict:
'Hero' has both its pros and cons. Debutant director G.V's screenplay, Cast,
Mani Sharma's music, choreography, and picturization are the plus points.
Minus points are weak story and flat comedy track. Overall movie is worth
watching, gives enough entertainment for the bucks rolled out. Can be rated
as Average. | |
